  • Usage information: pages viewed, time spent on pages, links clicked, scroll depth, mouse movements, referring URL, search terms used to find the Site, date and time of visit
  • Session recordings and heatmaps: interactions with the Site, including clicks, scrolls, and navigation patterns (collected via Microsoft Clarity; see Section 3.2)

2.3 Information From Third Parties

We may receive information about you from:

  • Advertising platforms such as Google and Meta, which report on how users interact with our ads
  • Analytics providers such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity
  • Payment processors such as Stripe, which confirm successful transactions
  • Publicly available sources such as business directories, public websites, and social media profiles, which we may use to research potential clients or verify business information

3. Third-Party Services We Use

We use the following third-party services that collect or process information about Site visitors. Each of these providers has its own privacy practices governed by its own privacy policy.

3.1 Google Analytics (GA4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics collects information such as IP address (typically anonymized), pages viewed, session duration, device type, and general location (city or region level). This information is used to produce aggregated reports about Site traffic and user behavior. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies. You can learn more at policies.google.com/privacy and opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

3.2 Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity to capture session recordings, heatmaps, and behavioral analytics that help us understand how visitors interact with the Site. Clarity may record information including mouse movements, clicks, scroll behavior, and the pages you view. Clarity automatically masks sensitive fields by default, but you should avoid entering sensitive personal information into forms on the Site. You can learn more about Microsoft’s privacy practices at privacy.microsoft.com.

3.3 Meta Pixel (Facebook)

We use the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram and to deliver relevant ads to users who have visited the Site. The Meta Pixel collects information about your visit, including pages viewed and actions taken, and shares this with Meta Platforms, Inc. Meta may combine this information with data it already has about you. You can learn more and manage your ad preferences at facebook.com/privacy/policy and in your Meta account settings.

3.4 Stripe

We use Stripe to process subscription payments. When you purchase services, your payment card information is submitted directly to Stripe and is not stored on our servers. Stripe collects and processes this information as a separate data controller in accordance with its privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy. We receive confirmation of the transaction and limited billing information necessary to administer your account.

3.5 Other Service Providers

We also use service providers for email delivery, customer relationship management, cloud hosting, and similar operational functions. These providers process information on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

To provide the services. We use your information to onboard you as a client, perform SEO, PPC, and related marketing services, communicate with you about your account, produce reports, and deliver the outputs you have contracted for.

To process payments. We use billing and payment information to charge subscription fees, manage renewals, handle failed payments, and comply with financial record-keeping requirements.

To communicate with you. We use your contact information to respond to inquiries, provide service updates, send account notices, deliver customer support, and respond to feedback.

To send marketing communications. With your consent where required, we send marketing emails and text messages about our services, promotions, case studies, industry insights, and related content. You can opt out at any time (see Section 7).

To improve the Site and our services. We use analytics, session recordings, and usage data to understand how visitors interact with the Site, identify issues, and improve our content, user experience, and service offerings.

To measure and improve advertising. We use advertising and tracking data to measure the performance of our marketing campaigns, understand which channels bring us clients, and deliver relevant ads to prospective clients.

To prevent fraud and enforce our terms. We use information to verify identity, detect suspicious activity, prevent abuse, enforce our Terms and Conditions, and protect the rights and safety of our company, clients, and others.

To comply with legal obligations. We use information as necessary to comply with applicable laws, respond to legal requests, and defend against legal claims.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies (such as pixels, web beacons, and local storage) to operate the Site, analyze traffic, and support advertising.

Essential cookies are necessary for the Site to function, such as maintaining session state and remembering your preferences.

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the Site. These are set by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.

Advertising cookies are used to measure ad performance and deliver relevant ads. These are set by the Meta Pixel and by Google for advertising purposes.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, but doing so may affect how the Site functions. Where required by law, we present a cookie banner that allows you to accept or reject non-essential cookies before they are set.

You can also opt out of interest-based advertising through industry programs such as the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info or the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org.

6. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information in the traditional sense of the word. However, certain data-sharing practices, particularly with advertising platforms, may be classified as a “sale” or “sharing” under California, Florida, and other state privacy laws. See Section 8 for your rights related to this.

We share information in the following circumstances:

With service providers who help us operate our business, such as cloud hosting providers, payment processors (Stripe), email delivery services, customer support platforms, and analytics providers (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity). These providers are bound by contracts that limit how they can use the information.

With advertising platforms (Google, Meta) for purposes of measuring and delivering advertising. This sharing may constitute “cross-context behavioral advertising” or a “sale” of personal information under certain state laws. You can opt out as described in Section 8.

With professional advisors such as accountants, auditors, and attorneys when reasonably necessary for business operations.

In connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case personal information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify you before your personal information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

When required by law or in response to valid legal requests, such as subpoenas, court orders, or government investigations, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our company, clients, or others.

With your consent for any other purpose disclosed at the time we collect the information.

7. Marketing Communications

7.1 Email Marketing

If you provide us with your email address, we may send you marketing emails about our services, case studies, industry insights, and promotions. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time by clicking that link or by emailing info@seoforhomeservice.com. Opting out of marketing emails does not affect transactional emails related to your account, such as billing notices, service updates, or customer support responses.

7.2 SMS Marketing

If you provide your mobile phone number and consent to receive text messages, we may send you marketing SMS messages. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or by emailing info@seoforhomeservice.com. Reply HELP for help. We do not share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Your consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing our services.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to know or access what personal information we have collected about you
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information
  • Right to delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions
  • Right to data portability — receive a copy of your information in a usable format
  • Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
  • Right to opt out of targeted advertising based on cross-context behavioral tracking
  • Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information as defined by California law)
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

8.1 How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@seoforhomeservice.com with the subject line “Privacy Request” and describe your request. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request, typically by asking you to confirm information we already have on file. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally 45 days).

8.2 Opting Out of Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

To opt out of the sharing of your personal information with advertising platforms (including Meta and Google for advertising purposes), you can:

  • Adjust your cookie preferences in the cookie banner on the Site
  • Use the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, which we honor as a valid opt-out request
  • Email us at info@seoforhomeservice.com with the subject line “Opt Out of Sale/Sharing”

8.3 Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will require proof of the agent’s authorization and may still ask you to verify your identity directly.

8.4 Residents of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or equivalent local law, including the right to withdraw consent at any time, the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority, and the right to object to certain processing. Our legal bases for processing include your consent, the performance of a contract, our legitimate business interests (such as improving our services), and compliance with legal obligations.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the services, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. In general:

  • Account and billing information: retained for the duration of your engagement plus at least seven (7) years for tax and financial record-keeping
  • Marketing contact information: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
  • Site analytics data: retained according to the default retention settings of Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, which are typically between 14 months and 26 months
  • Communications: retained for a reasonable period for customer service, dispute resolution, and legal purposes

When personal information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it in accordance with our internal retention schedule.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and vetted service providers. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use the Site and provide information to us at your own risk. If we become aware of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

11. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States. By using the Site, you consent to this transfer. Where required by law, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers.

12. Children’s Privacy

The Site and our services are intended for business-to-business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, contact us at info@seoforhomeservice.com and we will delete it.

13. Do Not Track

Some browsers include a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is no industry standard for responding to DNT signals, we do not currently respond to them. We do, however, honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out of sale and sharing as described in Section 8.2.

14. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including platforms like Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and industry publications. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other reasons. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by email or a notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of the updated Privacy Policy constitutes acceptance of the changes.
